Airport trust chair
Three chairmanships connect airport operations, development financing and a major airline maintenance site.
Mary Smith Crofts is listed as chair of the Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust, Tulsa International Airport Development Trust and Tulsa Municipal Airport Trust. These are separate public bodies with different responsibilities, even though their leadership overlaps.
The budget book identifies Crofts as a trustee and community volunteer.
Development and municipal trust agendas include officer elections; the agendas are not election results.
The airport website lists her as chair of three trusts.

The September 10, 2026 annual agendas scheduled officer elections at the development and municipal trusts. The development agenda also placed a financing agreement with Park Aerospace and several payment requests before trustees. Those documents identify business presented for collective consideration. They do not establish how Crofts voted, which proposals passed or when money was paid. The current roster establishes her listed chair roles; it does not supply the dates she first became chair.
The development trust’s September agenda proposed support for an airport observation area through a fund administered by Tulsa Community Foundation. It described the completed improvements as property to be owned and maintained by the airport operations trust. It also included a payment to Tulsa Public Schools under a developer financing agreement. This illustrates why the trusts, the foundation-administered fund, the developer and the school district must remain separate entities when tracing a proposed transaction. The agenda alone establishes neither a completed grant nor a personal financial interest for Crofts.
The airport’s budget book for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026 identifies Crofts as a trustee and community volunteer. It names Kent Harrell as chair. That is a historical snapshot; the current airport roster lists Crofts as chair. Neither source supports assigning the chairmanship retroactively throughout her trustee service.
