River Parks Authority trustee and pharmaceutical account manager
Public parks governance, a pharmaceutical career and a classroom-supply nonprofit.
Aaron Wing serves on River Parks Authority and The Pencil Box’s board. The nonprofit identifies him as a Pfizer hospital account manager. His public appointment adds parks governance to a civic record that already included support for classroom supplies.
At his August 2026 appointment hearing, Wing described growing up in Minnesota and living in Tulsa for about eighteen years. He said work brought him from Duluth to Tulsa after earlier experience in Chicago and overseas. He described a career with a major pharmaceutical company and an interest in mountain biking, hiking and running. Those remarks give context for his interest in outdoor public space. He also identified The Pencil Box as an existing board commitment and described that nonprofit network as his introduction to the River Parks opportunity. These are his public recollections, rather than independently reconstructed employment dates.

Interpretation
The useful accountability record for Wing will be specific: the proposals before trustees, his participation and votes, the use of public and donated resources, and any disclosed interests relevant to a decision. His professional and nonprofit affiliations identify connections worth understanding, but do not establish coordinated action or a conflict in a particular matter. Similarly, an agenda identifies proposed business; minutes and subsequent records are needed to establish outcomes. This distinction matters especially for a trustee newly appointed to an institution with decades of projects already behind it.
An agenda from July 16, 2026, illustrates the work Wing entered. Trustees were asked to consider Resolution 27-1, updating park rules, with approval, denial or amendment listed as possible actions. The meeting also called for financial, legal, maintenance and construction reports. Rules affecting public use and oversight of park operations are therefore concrete parts of the board’s work. That agenda predates Wing’s appointment: it establishes an institutional responsibility, not a vote by him, and does not by itself establish what the board ultimately adopted.
The Pencil Box currently lists Wing as a hospital account manager at Pfizer Inc. A much earlier university publication places him at the same company: Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota’s Fall 2006 alumni notes identified Aaron Wing in Duluth as a Pfizer employee and president of Wing and Associates, LLC, with work managing and renovating Minnesota income properties. The matching name, employer and Duluth history support the identification. The university item documents a reported role at that time; it does not establish a current property business, ownership percentage or present financial interest. It also does not establish uninterrupted Pfizer employment between 2006 and 2026.
Wing’s other documented board connection is The Pencil Box, which supplies classroom materials to teachers at eligible Tulsa County public schools. Its eligibility rules cover pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade at schools where at least 70 percent of students are economically disadvantaged. Supplies carry no item price, although teachers make an annual partnership contribution. The nonprofit says private donations fund its work. Abigail Singrey’s January 2026 TulsaPeople report traces its first supply distribution to October 2015 and describes the volunteer work behind processing donations and stocking shelves. It also explains how wholesale purchasing helps donated dollars buy supplies. Wing is listed as a director, a role distinct from the organization’s staff leadership. His pharmaceutical job and nonprofit service do not establish that Pfizer funds or directs the organization.
Turkey Mountain shows how public recreation and private philanthropy meet within River Parks’ responsibilities. The authority manages the park’s outdoor recreation and describes a 2009 George Kaiser Family Foundation grant that paid for entrance improvements, including parking, restrooms and trailhead access. This historical funding connection helps explain the institution Wing joined. It predates his 2026 appointment by many years and is not evidence of his involvement in securing the grant. The foundation’s support, the authority’s governance and Wing’s individual board seat remain distinct relationships.
