The joint airport agenda for October 8, 2026, illustrates the business before the boards during Carmichael’s term: an air-service grant match, advertising arrangements, rental-car-garage utility relocation, an Allegiant Air sublease and a proposed Riverside walking-trail agreement with the city. The trail item was contingent on state aeronautics approval. These items show the boards’ operational and development remit. An agenda alone does not establish Carmichael’s attendance, her vote, final approval or project completion. Individual decisions require the corresponding minutes or other outcome records. The city states that airport authority members serve without compensation and are appointed by the mayor with council confirmation.
The development trust promotes economic development around the airport through the relevant tax-increment-financing project plan. The municipal airport trust has a narrower connection to the American Airlines maintenance and engineering center: the city describes its role as leasing land and fixtures and financing improvements through bonds backed by the airline. These are distinct institutional responsibilities even where trustees overlap. Carmichael’s affiliation does not establish a personal stake in airport tenants. VEST identifies her as a TAIT trustee working with airport chief executive Alexis Higgins; that places board oversight and executive management in their respective roles.
Carmichael holds bachelor of business administration and law degrees from the University of Oklahoma, according to a 2022 Directors & Boards biography. Cintas’s current biography traces her earlier work through legal practice at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and Southwest Airlines, and leadership positions at Southwest, Ticketmaster and Rockwell Collins. The available sources support that career sequence without establishing every start and departure date. Her professional experience concerns employment law, human resources and organizational leadership; it should not be read as proof that she personally directs every institution where she holds a board seat.
Nation’s Restaurant News reported her appointment as Cracker Barrel’s chief people officer in March 2014, with responsibility for recruiting, training, developing and retaining employees. The report identified her earlier consulting business, Star HR LLC, and university teaching and advisory work. Cintas dates her Cracker Barrel service to 2014–2017 and her subsequent role as Red Robin’s executive vice president and chief people, culture and resource officer to 2017–2019, when she led human resources and legal teams. These are historical employment roles, distinct from her present public trusteeships.
Cintas identifies Carmichael as an independent director who joined its board in 2024. Its September 2026 definitive proxy places her on the compensation and nominating and corporate governance committees. For the fiscal year ended May 31, 2026, the company reported $112,500 in cash fees, $92,502 in stock awards and $92,543 in option awards, totaling $297,545. The equity figures are aggregate grant-date fair values under the company’s accounting disclosure, not cash receipts or realized investment gains. The total covers this directorship for that fiscal year; it is not a measure of her entire income, assets or airport compensation.
Oklahoma Policy Institute’s 2023 tax return lists Carmichael as a board member. That dated return documents a nonprofit governance connection without establishing that she remains on the board today. A separate current institutional connection is the Anita Hill Scholarship Fund: its official program page names Carmichael as a founder and selection-committee member, and VEST describes her as a cofounder. The scholarship honors Anita Hill; StitchCrew serves as fiscal sponsor. The program, the honoree and the sponsor should be understood separately. The page schedules its 2026 awards for November; an announced award schedule is not evidence that grants have already been paid.
