Creek County District 3 commissioner
District road responsibilities, county financial oversight and bridge partnerships.
Jarrod Whitehouse is Creek County’s District 3 commissioner and its 2026 county-board vice-chair. Elected after a vacancy in 2021, he also serves on INCOG’s board and has advanced district bridge agreements and transportation-funding applications.
In a September 2021 interview, Whitehouse described himself as a lifelong Bristow resident and said his family owned Whitehouse Construction and an excavation business. He said he was adding personnel so he could concentrate on county work if elected. BBB’s business directory separately names Jarrod Whitehouse as a principal contact for Whitehouse Construction LLC in Bristow. That listing supports a business association, but is not a financial disclosure or proof of a current ownership percentage. His father, Lane Whitehouse, had held the same district office before his death in 2021. The relationship matters because the resulting vacancy brought Jarrod into the election; the office still required an electoral contest.
Reported winner of the District3 contest following Lane Whitehouse’s death.
Reported sworn in as incumbent and appointed county CED1 representative.
Moved approval of two District3 bridge projects with the Muscogee Nation.
Chosen vice-chair; later moved authorization for District3 transportation-fund application.
Official district page and county minutes confirm continuing office.

July14,2025 board approval
Collective county authorization for district projects, not a personal affiliation or proof of completed construction.
The State Auditor and Inspector’s Creek County report for the year ended June 30, 2025 identified weaknesses in federal recovery-fund procurement standards, expenditure reporting and supporting documentation. These are county-level findings relevant to the board’s oversight duties. They do not establish personal diversion of funds by Whitehouse. The corrective-action plan assigns responsibilities to named county officials and gives target dates; the plan alone does not demonstrate that the remedies were completed. Following subsequent audit findings, implementation records and board action is necessary to assess the county’s response.
Jarrod Whitehouse is Creek County’s District 3 commissioner and the county board’s vice-chair for 2026. His district office operates from Bristow and accepts road concerns. He also represents Creek County on INCOG’s board. County minutes in October 2026 record him serving alongside Newt Stephens and Zac Moore. These roles connect a district road operation to countywide decisions and regional planning; they do not give him sole control of either the county or INCOG.
Sapulpa Times reported that Whitehouse won the September 14, 2021 election against Democrat H. Chris Root with 76.32 percent of the vote. Those were election-night, unofficial figures with all precincts reporting. The paper subsequently reported his oath as an incumbent in January 2023 and his appointment as the county’s Circuit Engineering District 1 representative under Resolution 2023-2. That is a historical appointment. The county selected Moore for the engineering-district role in January 2026, while selecting Whitehouse as county vice-chair. Keeping the dates separate prevents an older appointment from becoming an inaccurate current title.
On July 14, 2025, Whitehouse moved to approve a memorandum with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation for two District 3 bridge replacements, on South 193rd West Avenue and South 465th West Avenue. Moore seconded it, and all three commissioners voted yes. Whitehouse told the meeting that the county could not have replaced the bridges without the Nation’s help. The record shows a government-to-government agreement and his assessment of its importance. It does not establish that construction was finished. The Nation also has its own representation on INCOG, a separate regional relationship from this specific county bridge agreement.
In January 2026, Whitehouse moved to authorize District 3 to apply to the Preserving and Advancing County Transportation Fund. Minutes record that he had submitted a list of potentially qualifying bridges and planned to meet Guy Engineering to prepare the application. The board approved the application authority unanimously; the action was not itself a grant award. At the same meeting, he moved to approve agreements supporting two district employees in obtaining commercial driver’s licenses. He also proposed a memorandum with Depew Fire Department. These decisions show how his road responsibilities involve funding applications, workforce capacity and cooperation with another local service.
The campaign website paid for by Friends of Jarrod Whitehouse 2026 presents him as an America First conservative and a supporter of Donald Trump. It emphasizes roads, industry, first responders, property-tax relief and opposition to the Delta transmission corridor and wind and solar development. Those are the campaign’s descriptions of his politics and claimed achievements. The site’s claims about economic development and stopping the corridor require project records and decision histories before they can be treated as independently established outcomes. Its description of him as a small-business owner likewise does not identify or value his current holdings.
